Professional Development

At ISL you will learn to companion others as spiritual director, counselor, mentor, educator, healthcare worker, business executive, spouse, parent or friend through:

  • the dynamics of your own personal transformation
  • insights from contemporary developmental and depth psychologies
  • learning and integrating new skills, including: Active Imagination, Focusing, and Dreamwork,
  • applying the wisdom of mystics from Christian and other traditions
  • the guidance of individual and peer supervision
  • extensive experience providing and receiving spiritual direction
  • assistance in discerning the path to which you are being called

Spirituality for Service continues your personal transformation and prepares you for sharing your gifts and skills with others. It does this through incremental coursework and through extensive supervised practical experience, i.e. Practicum.
